After joining the Atlantic Blue Schools network in May 2021, the Morocco team has organised an awareness activity at a rural school called “Groupe Scolaire Ouled Zid” in the province of El Jadida. This event was organised on June 25th, 2021 to a total of 48 students. However due to the Covid19 restrictions, the students were organised in two separate groups.
The students from the Ouled Zid School have attended workshops related to the marine environment and they also shared their feelings through drawings and speech exercises.
Ocean Day activity
The second activity was organised at the French international school Jean Charcot in El Jadida on Tuesday 22 February 2022. This day, named “Ocean Day”, was an opportunity to raise awareness among 60 students about the respect and protection of the coastal and marine environment.
This day was animated by 11 students of the master “Coastal Engineering and Applications” of the Faculty of Sciences of El Jadida. The activities were diversified and included a great number of interesting informations concerning the importance of using simple gestures to protect the coastal and marine environment.
The students were able to enjoy a mixture of presentations on several topics, several educational games and an awareness-raising song on a one planet living.

Coastal Engineering Days activity
Our Blue School Network was a partner in the scientific days “Coastal Engineering Days” organised at the Faculty of Science in El Jadida on 25 and 26 February 2022. This occasion was very useful for the dissemination of the objectives of our network and also for the sharing of the concept of ocean protection through an online conference by Pr Ronaldo Christofoletti on “Sustainable blue growth in Atlantic ocean”.
